Cumberland Parking Lot
Overview
Because there is insufficient parking space available on Cousins Island, CTC operates a satellite lot in Cumberland, Maine. The lot holds over 200 vehicles and is located on Route One in Cumberland, approximately 7 miles from the ferry.
CTC transports passengers from the satellite lot to the ferry with two buses. The bus and ferry schedule can change from time to time, so the passenger should always check the schedules in advance.
Passengers should plan to arrive at the satellite lot at least 10 minutes before departure time to ensure adequate time for loading freight and collecting parking fees.
Directions to the Satellite Parking Lot
As there is not an "address" for the satellite parking lot in Cumberland that can be used as a destination in online mapping/directions sites or GPS/Navigation systems, enter the address across the street from the lot, 1 Thomas Drive, Cumberland, ME 04110. This will get the traveler to the entrance to the parking lot, on the west side of Route One.
From the South: Travel north on I-295 (non-toll road) and take exit 10 (Falmouth) to U.S. Route One North. Turn onto U.S. Route One North. The parking lot is approximately 4.2 miles on the left. (EXIT 15 IN FALMOUTH IS CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION).
From the North: Travel south on I-295 (non-toll road), take the Yarmouth exit 15 . At the stop sign, turn right onto Route One South. The parking lot is approximately .5 miles on the right.
