COUSINS ISLAND PARKING LOT
Overnight and
weekend parking is limited to vehicles carrying stickers
allocated to 150 year-round Chebeague residents.
Fifteen spaces are allocated to
Yarmouth
residents, with stickers obtainable at the Yarmouth Town
Office.
Weekday parking
is permitted on a space-available basis
7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
for a fee of $20 per day, payable to the attendant on duty.
The parking fee and ticket may also be placed in the
envelope provided and placed in the lock box on the exterior
of the attendant's trailer. During
the summer the
Cousins
Island
parking lot is usually full. To find out
if any spaces are available, you may call the attendant at
846-3700, option 5. If you arrive at the Cousins
Island parking lot, and the lot is already full, you will be
turned away. We suggest that you use the Route One
parking lot to be assured a place to park.
DIRECTIONS TO COUSINS ISLAND PARKING LOT IN YARMOUTH
From U.S. Route 1 in
Yarmouth, follow the signs to Rt. 88 and Cousins Island by
way of Gilman Road. You will go over the Cousins Island
Bridge and continue on Cousins Road (this is the main road
on the island). Turn left onto Wharf Road. (If you go any
further you will see signs for the power plant.) The
driveway (164 Wharf Road) into the parking lot is off Wharf
Road on your left by the phone booth. You will see the gray
attendant's office on your left. Please stop and check in
with the attendant on duty.
